Learn about important developmental milestones and what to expect as your child grows from infancy through adolescence.
Every child develops at their own pace, but there are general milestones that help us track healthy development. In the first year, watch for rolling over (4-6 months), sitting (6-8 months), crawling (8-10 months), and first steps (10-14 months). Language development includes cooing at 2-3 months, babbling at 6 months, and first words around 12 months. By age 2, most children can say 50+ words and form simple sentences. Remember that these are guidelines, not strict rules. If you have concerns about your child's development, don't hesitate to discuss them with your pediatrician during well-child visits.
